Uttarakhand now has access to Jio True 5G services

Reliance Jio has announced that its True 5G services will go live in Uttarakhand from Dehradun. The only 5G service available in Dehradun is Jio True 5G, which is expanding rapidly and offering Jio consumers the benefits of game-changing technology. On Tuesday, the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Assam, Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, officially launched Jio True 5G services in Assam at an event held in Guwahati.

The only 5G service available in Dehradun is Jio True 5G. Jio would spend over Rs 650 crore to build a stand-alone 5G network in Uttarakhand, in addition to the existing investment of Rs 4,950 crore. To achieve the vision of Uttarakhand becoming a ‘Digital Devbhoomi’ and Hon. Prime Minister of ‘Digital India’ Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami congratulated and appreciated Jio for bringing transformational changes in the state’s digital landscape.

Commenting on the launch, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Uttarakhand Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami said, “Congratulations Jio, people of Uttarakhand and especially people of Dehradun for launching Jio True 5G services. This launch is an important milestone for Uttarakhand and its people who will benefit immensely from 5G services. Jio has always been at the forefront, especially when it comes to providing mobile and data connectivity in the state. With 5G, every individual, including students and businessmen, IT and healthcare services, and industries such as agriculture, education, medicine, information technology and manufacturing, will have new opportunities and additional jobs. 5G will also enable citizens and government to stay connected in real-time, as well as improve the implementation and efficiency of government programs for last-mile users.

From January 11, 2023, Jio subscribers in Dehradun will be eligible for the Jio welcome offer which offers unlimited data up to 1Gbps+ at no extra cost.

Reliance In addition to its True 5G services already offered in Guwahati, Jio debuted its True 5G Wi-Fi services at the Maa Kamakhya Temple complex. Additionally, 7 cities in 4 states now have access to Jio True 5G service.

The Jio Welcome Offer, which provides unlimited data up to 1Gbps+ at no extra cost, will be made available to Jio users in Guwahati and 7 other cities in the states of Maharashtra (Solapur), Telangana (Warangal, Karimnagar), Kerala (Chertala), Hubli-Dharwad, Mangalore and Belgaum.

Jio is investing around ₹ 2,500 crores to deploy True 5G network in Assam in addition to its current investment of ₹ 9,500 crores, demonstrating their unwavering commitment to the growth of our state. Jio True 5G services will be available in every Assamese city and taluka by December 2023.
