
OnePlus Buds Pro 2 to work with Android 13’s surround sound feature

According to the company, the OnePlus Buds Pro 2 truly wireless headphones will be the first wireless headphones to feature Google Spatial Audio technology built for Android 13. In addition, the device will instantly pair with other Android devices with a single tap. to support the quick pairing feature of Android.
On February 7, the OnePlus Cloud 11 event will introduce TWS headphones to the world, along with the OnePlus 11 and other products of the brand. The OnePlus Buds Pro 2 are the first TWS headphones to incorporate Google’s renowned surround sound feature developed for Android 13. This creates a multi-dimensional experience inside a pair of small headphones. Thanks to this, the sound always comes from the set point regardless of movement and has the same 3D sound quality as in the cinema.

The company further revealed that the OnePlus Buds Pro 2’s surround sound has been enhanced in collaboration with Google to replicate the immersive, multi-dimensional experience you enjoy in cinemas. OnePlus Buds Pro 2 enhances surround sound capabilities by leveraging OnePlus’ spatial rendering algorithm and IMU sensor, adding stability, compatibility with app extensions, and opening up its technology to other apps.
Android Fast Pair, which allows you to quickly connect to neighboring Android devices with one tap, helps Buds Pro 2 in its quest to establish a seamless connection by increasing its efficiency. Buds Pro 2 can connect to two Android smartphones at once and seamlessly switch audio between them based on your actions, all without the hassle of Bluetooth setup thanks to Android’s audio switching feature.

In addition, OnePlus has custom-built a stereo up-mixing algorithm to produce multi-dimensional audio from popular music and video applications, with compatibility with most audio sources on the market.

The OnePlus Buds Pro 2 was already launched in China on January 4. Comes with 11mm woofer and 6mm tweeter. TWS also supports the MelodyBoost dual driver system, which was co-developed with Dynaudio. It also comes with three equalizer options tuned together by Dynaudio Bold, Serenade and Bass.
